Line Following Robot

In my ME 375 class, Systems and Controls 2, my partner and I were given the task of building and programming a fully automated robot that could follow a black line path on the ground. For this assignment, we had to assemble both the hardware and the software, as well as design our own controller for the system. This project used LabVIEW software and a MyRIO embedded evaluation board.

Automated CPR Machine

For my sophomore design project, my team had a goal to develop a CPR machine that would allow the user to administer CPR easily and effectively, while keeping the cost lower than the current models. We wanted to create a device that could help save lives in disaster stricken areas. By the end of the class we had a medium fidelity prototype (pictured to the left) that was fully functional.

Speaker System

In ECE lab, my lab partner and my final project was to create a homemade speaker system that met certain requirements which was able to produce clear sounding music when plugged into a phone. The board includes a high pass, loss pass, and band pass filter, as well as a tweeter and a woofer system connected to the speakers.

Tumaini School Building

In Engineering 131, my team and I were tasked with designing a lab building for the Tumaini School near Nairobi, Kenya. Our design had to be large enough to fit all the boys in the school while still being under budget of $160,000 and being as net energy efficient as possible. Each teammate created a design and then compared ideas to make the final product. We consulted with the boys via Skype to ask them about what they wanted in the building.  (Concept built on Energy3D)
